Now hiring Service Support at Down on Grayson near the Pearl District! This is a great entry-level position for those interested in serving or the restaurant industry in general. As a Service Support team member, you will be assisting our servers to create memorable experiences for our guests through genuine Texas hospitality!

Where You’ll Work – Down on Grayson 

Located just north of downtown in the Tobin Hill neighborhood, Down on Grayson offers perfectly executed, approachable food and freshly crafted cocktails in a relaxed setting. Our expansive, dog-friendly patio, shaded by oak trees and lined with black-and-white umbrellas, is one of the most recognizable in the city. 

Inside, the space blends trendy and casual elements like concrete floors, high ceilings, and natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows. The result is an energetic yet inviting environment that feels at home for weekday lunches, date nights, or weekend gatherings. 

What you will do 

  • Assist servers with running side work duties such as rolling silverware, refilling water bottles and stocking glassware
  • Provide a clean and welcoming environment for our guests by ensuring every table is immaculate through 3 level bussing, completing regular restroom checks, and spot sweeping the dining room throughout your shift
  • Run food and beverages to tables with friendly conversation to make guests feel comfortable and welcomed while ensuring they have everything they need 
  • Coordinate with host and management staff on available tables to ensure prompt table turns

What you bring - minimum qualifications 

  • Must be 18 years old or older 
  • Must have or be able to obtain a valid and current TABC and Food Handlers certification
  • Must be able to work at least 3 days a week, including weekends and holidays

Physical requirements and working conditions 

  • Must be able to stand and walk for 6 or more hours in a day 
  • Capable of lifting up to 20 lbs. 
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, bending, reaching, squatting, climbing, and walking
  • Exposure to loud noise, large crowds, and extreme hot/cold temperatures 

Compensation: starts at $14/hour
 
Compensation: $14.00 per hour
